The RAAF Learmonth- Combined Mess building is a part of the funding provided by the Federal Government to revitalise and increase the capability of the defence force within Western Australia.
Designed by Hames Sharley and built by BARPA Construction Services, a majority owned aboriginal company, this building will be constructed to replace the ageing mess facilities on the Learmonth defence base.
Ascent Structural Steel has an advanced experience working within highly secure construction sites in the past such as BAE Systems Henderson, RAAF Pearce, Campbell Barracks (Swanbourne), Roebourne Prison Camp and the Garden Island HMAS Stirling accommodation facility.
Ascent Structural Steel has been contracted to complete the structural steel for this this steel framed building with an expected completion late 2016.
